Feng
Shui Meaning and Philosophy – Chi, Yin and Yang and How Feng
Shui Solves Our Problems
Feng
Shui offers a unique perspective when it comes to human life
and interaction with our world that is still unknown to many.
It remains a mystery! The English meaning of the word “feng” is
wind, and the Chinese translation for the word “shui” is
water.
Two
Primary Elements in Feng Shui
Wind
(also breath) and water are two of the basic primary elements
of life that are necessary for life to exist. In Feng Shui,
wind is not considered one of the Five primary elements,
although water is.
When
thinking of Feng Shui, one must think in holistic terms of an
unquantifiable and intangible presence - a vital energy and
force that exists in all living things, including things that
are considered “inanimate” or considered as not containing
living energy or spirit.
One
cannot think of Feng Shui without contemplating the meaning of
universal energy that western scientists have yet to quantify,
measure or explain.
The
Chinese Word “Chi”
What is
our life force or essential energy? The Chinese refer to this
as “chi”…sometimes spelled “qi, “ch’i” or “ki”.” Chi can be
thought of as the essential energy of all matter…within all
substances seen and unseen, conscious and unconscious, ethereal
and concrete.
Chi is
always in motion – it is everywhere…even within such “beings”
as rocks or mountains!

One could think
of Chi itself as being
comprised of both yin and yang energy. The “yin” of chi
embodies the intangible energetic realm (not able to be
perceived by the five senses), and the “yang” of chi is the
energy we see in motion within our tangible
world.
In Chinese
teaching, yin and yang is female and male, hidden and seen,
dark and light…
the perfect
opposites that make up the whole of all things in existence.
All things have yin energy – all things contain yang
energy…everything is made up of Chi.
Chi is
Naturally Flowing…
Chi naturally flows through our
bodies, our dwelling places and throughout the universe at
large. It has no boundaries and its pathways are
mysterious!
The art of Feng
Shui has to do with facilitating and enhancing the passage
(or flow) of chi throughout our physical homes and
environments and as a result
- the
energy flow within our physical bodies!
The
exercises of qigong are noted for stimulating the flow of
healthy chi in the body. In the “Feng Shui
Pearls of Wisdom” ebook you will be
introduced to a little known modern healing method that has the
power to clear disease causing blockages within your
body.
It opens
and clears pathways, similar to acupuncture (but without the
needles!). It has its roots in acupuncture, yoga, and
kinesiology.
This new
method strengthens the mind/body connection and leads to better
overall health and balance. It is inner Feng Shui at its
finest!
When our
bodies are out of balance or our surrounding environment
contains imbalances, blockages form and cause problems which
disrupt the natural flow of chi.
Unfortunately, these blocks can cause us pain and
problems in the following areas:
Feng
Shui Raises Inner and Outer Awareness
The good
news is we can solve these problems with Feng Shui! Feng Shui
philosophy has stood the test of time – in a nutshell, it
works! Applying the principles of Feng Shui to your body and
personal spaces opens energy channels and opportunities flow

The key
is to trust the process. Know that the actions you take will
yield the desired results…don’t just believe
it…really know
it!
The
study of Feng Shui raises one’s awareness of energy flows and
the nature of chi. Feng Shui also reveals the blockages that
impede progress in life and cause unhappiness. The practice of
Feng Shui clears the clutter blocking the energetic pathways
within our living spaces and allows the chi to flow freely
along its natural courses within our environment.
The
practice of Feng Shui empowers you, in its purest form, to
clear your internal and external (surrounding environment)
blockages, bringing all things within yourself and your outer
world into harmonious balance.
This is
when the “magic” starts to happen and opportunities and
solutions begin to present themselves in greater abundance. The
flow is no longer restricted and things start moving
again!
On your
journey, you’ll discover impediments in your surroundings that
you never knew existed – but luckily you can easily take action
